charming getaway

this place was a real find. the location is in the middle of the new forest, and a quick walk to the village center. i found the room modern and comfortable. bottled water and a nespresso coffee machine were welcome additions. i especially liked that they offered chocolate and biscuits (a perfect late-night snack!).

the restaurant's atmosphere was lacking. i felt the quality of the food was not up to par, and the tables seemed basic for a hotel of this standard. i found the staff enthusiastic but could use some more training.

the beautiful double room featured classic fm radio that played upon arrival. the decor seemed bright and airy, and the bed offered a comfortable night's sleep. a dyson hairdryer was available, and i found lovely bathroom products for purchase.

the staff were very friendly and helpful. i had a very quick check in with the receptionist. i noticed the hotel even provides wellington boots in many sizes for forest walks.

breakfast included freshly cooked bacon, eggs, sausage, and mushrooms, along with a range of cereals. the bar offered a dinner menu and a full bar service. i liked that the bar staff were helpful and friendly when it came to ordering cocktails.

i was disappointed as the front desk gentleman was unhelpful in resolving our room issue , and this contrasted sharply with the helpfulness of other staff. i felt he was rude , and it negatively affected my initial impression.

the location is excellent with lovely grounds i will definitely stay again the staff were friendly and helpful the food was fantastic too i found breakfast delicious with a great selection. the hotel has a beautiful garden and i loved the plentiful tea and biscuits provided.

however, this initial inconvenience did affect the start of my stay slightly.

The hotel location is in the heart of the forest. It is a short walk to many walking trails and activities. I found the room decor to be tastefully decorated and really clean.
